From everyday wear and tear to the effects of damp and household pests, there are many parts that can malfunction out of the 6000 or so components which a piano can contain. I can carry out routine repairs, and replace broken piano strings and other components.
I can also replace missing or disfigured key tops; or do a complete keytop restoration.

Piano regulating

'Regulating' is a crucial part of piano maintenance. One note alone can have 40-50 parts which are involved in transferring the energy from your finger to the string. Regulating ensures that each note works correctly and in exactly the same way as the one next to it, giving you full control when playing. Hammers can also be reshaped to improve the piano's overall tone.
